SNOMED CT (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine, Clinical Terms) is a standardized, multilingual clinical terminology used in electronic health records. It provides a consistent way to index, store, retrieve, and aggregate clinical data so that diagnoses, symptoms, procedures, and medications are coded identically across systems.
